Description
Mrs Flury Organic Chia Seeds are grown in Paraguay. They provide valuable ingredients and surpass other foods in some nutrient contents:
- Omega-3 Fatty Acids: A primary reason for consuming chia seeds is their high content of omega-3 fatty acids, which have a positive effect on the cardiovascular system.
- Protein: Chia consists of 18% protein, which is twice as much protein as in grains.
- Calcium: Per 100g, this superfood contains five times as much calcium as whole milk.
- Dietary Fiber: Chia seeds are among the most fiber-rich foods, containing 38g of fiber per 100g. Dietary fiber promotes bowel activity and provides a long-lasting feeling of satiety.
- Vitamins: The superfood contains vitamins B1, B3, and E, which strengthen the immune system and contribute to healthy skin and hair.
- Chia seeds are rich in antioxidants and have an anti-inflammatory effect in the body.
Chia seeds can be used in many ways, for example in chia pudding, as an egg substitute when baking, as a topping for muesli or yogurt, or as an addition to smoothies. It is recommended not to exceed a daily intake of 15g of chia seeds.
To maintain the quality of the chia seeds, they should be stored dry and kept away from direct sunlight and heat.
