EAT GOOD FOOD
My diet follows the "EAT GOOD FOOD" principle, which for me means eating primarily plant-based and with as many unprocessed foods as possible. But what are the benefits of a plant-based diet for health and well-being, and what should you keep in mind?
Plant-based foods have a high nutrient density. This means they provide a high content of plant-based proteins, healthy fats, and carbohydrates. However, a normal plant-based diet often involves consuming more carbohydrates and fats.
Proteins are not only energy providers, but they are also responsible for all building and formation processes in the body. Our muscles, skin, hair, and nails are built from protein structures. Metabolic processes only occur with proteins as components of hormones and enzymes.
We can store the energy sources carbohydrates and fats more effectively and exchange them with each other for energy production. Proteins are stored less efficiently and must always be supplied. For this reason, I ensure a protein component with every meal. An adult should consume 1g of protein per kg of body weight per day. This need increases with age or physical activity.
