Sustainability & Packaging
The packaging of the bars and all materials used for shipping are completely plastic-free. The packaging consists of recyclable, FSC-certified cardboard and 100% recyclable & biodegradable glassine paper. The film can be buried in the ground, where it decomposes naturally.
Moonchy works with CleanHub to reduce plastic waste in the oceans. Annually, 500 kg of non-recyclable plastic are to be prevented from entering the oceans. The entire process is certified via track-and-trace technology.
Storage
The white coating on a bar is a natural fat bloom effect and does not affect quality.
Ideal temperature: Store consistently between 15 °C and 20 °C.
Avoid refrigeration: Refrigerate only if necessary, as condensation can cause sugar bloom (white streaks or spots).
Humidity control: Keep relative humidity below 50% to protect texture and flavor.
Light protection: Store chocolate in a cool, dark place, away from sunlight and artificial light, to prevent loss of quality.
